The pending hurricane is projected to make landfall near Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia. We want to remind you to make the necessary safety precautions, listed below.

Be aware that during prolonged power loss, security systems can go into trouble once they sense their back up battery has been depleted. The security system may seem to “go crazy” with beeping. To stop the beeping, you simply need to:

1. Go to Security Panel Box and Open It Up

2. Unhook prongs to the 12v battery inside panel box (doesn’t matter which prong is removed first)

3. Once 12v battery is disconnected, find the power transformer on wall and unplug it. The power transformer should be plugged into a nearby outlet. Sometimes, because of lay out of home, the transformer may be plugged into outlet in a different room, or even into the garage power outlets near the Garage Door Openers. Unplugging transformer may require a Phillips head screwdriver.
